The footy milestone Gerard Healy ‘never thought’ he’d reach

April 24, 2018 – the date Gerard Healy hit a milestone he thought he never would.

“For me, personally, it’s now a better game to watch at home than from the ground,” he said of the AFL.

“I never thought I’d say that.

“The Anzac ceremony was simply sensational.

“The vibe of the crowd? Irreplaceable.

“But once the game started – I missed the TV.

“It’s impossible to see who actually who has it and what they’re doing with it.

“It’s so congested.

“I spent the night watching the big screen.”

Leigh Matthews admits he recently got his eyes tested to make sure his sight was OK.

“It’s so congested that as soon as it gets on the other side of the field you’ve got no idea what’s going on,” Leigh said.
