The forecast for grand final day isn’t looking great…
Saturday’s AFL grand final is set to be the coldest in 60 years.
The mercury is forecast to reach just 13 degrees – five degrees below average for this time of year.
Some light rain is forecast but expected to clear by the time the match starts.
Richard Carlyon from the Bureau of Meteorology said Melbourne was set for one of its coldest ever grand final days.
“It’s nearly two degrees off the lowest,” he told 3AW News.
“It will be quite a cold day.”
