The inside word on AFL’s bold bid to build new football stadium

The AFL has unveiled its bold vision for the future of women’s football, with a new boutique stadium as its centrepiece.

AFL executive Laura Kane held an AFLW briefing on Thursday just weeks before the new season begins.

3AW Football’s Laura Spurway attended the briefing and said there were several new pieces of information that came to light.

“Their vision is they’ll look to build a purpose-built stadium,” she said on Wide World of Sports.

“It would be in the 15-20,000 and be built for women’s footy.”
