The inside word on ‘extraordinary’ Jack Ginnivan situation at Adelaide Airport

Jack Ginnivan was once again the centre of attention in Adelaide as Hawthorn prepares for a crunch semi-final against the Crows on Friday.

Ginnivan was mobbed by media on his arrival in Adelaide on Thursday afternoon, just weeks after his infamous run-in with a reporter at the same airport.

McGuire, who was at the airport covering Hawthorn’s arrival for Channel 7, told Jimmy Bartel Ginnivan’s teammates were laughing behind the scenes.

“Rob McCartney – the Hawthorn footy boss – flanked him as a bit of a bodyguard,” he said on Wide World of Sports.

“It was extraordinary scenes.”
