Leigh Matthews doesn’t like the trend toward rewarding tacklers.

Lethal said the battle between the attacking ball-carrier and the defending tackler is like “good versus evil”.

“We’re encouraging the second bloke to the footy,” he told 3AW Football.

“Whenever I hear ‘the player with the ball shouldn’t get the free kick because he contributed to the high contact’, it makes my blood boil.”
