New Brisbane co-captain Lachie Neale admits a “massive shift” in his football priorities has led to his appointment as co-captain at the Brisbane Lions.

Neale told 3AW’s Wide World Of Sports he’d always been a “really self-driven person” when it came to performance.

“But coming outside of myself and bringing others along has been a massive shift,” he said.

Neale and Harris Andrews will lead the Lions this season.

Neale said he hadn’t played with a more talented group than what the Lions were putting on the park this year.
