It’s been revealed police had another reason to speak with the Essendon supporter who abused Max Gawn.

The man was booted from Etihad Stadium after cameras caught him spraying the Melbourne ruckman.

Following a tip-off to the Rumour File this morning, 3AW Breakfast has confirmed that police had an extended chat with a 32-year-old man in relation to the theft of a motor car.

No charges have been laid and 3AW is not suggesting any wrongdoing on the man’s part.
