The Pies star who potential number one draft pick models his game on

Midfielder Sam Lalor has been touted as a contender to be this year’s number one draft pick.

The explosive player out of the Greater Western Victoria Rebels has battled injuries across this season, but is still well within the frame to be taken by Richmond with the top pick in the 2024 draft.

The teenager told Wide World of Sports there was one specific player from Collingwood who he’s looked to for inspiration as he prepares for life at AFL level.

“I go for Collingwood and Jordan De Goey is a player I’ve been watching for a long time,” he told Sam McClure and Matthew Lloyd on 3AW.
