‘The Richo’: Footy’s most prestigious award reaches thrilling conclusion

The Brownlow? Historic.
The AFLPA MVP? Increasingly respected.
And there’s a few others.
But there’s one award footballers are aspiring to win – “The Richo.”
3AW Football’s Matthew Richardson has been asked to award 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 votes after each week of the finals on 3AW Sportsday.
Here’s how he saw the preliminary finals…
WEEK THREE VOTES
5. Trent Cotchin – “If ever there was a captain’s game, I thought that was it.”
4. Charlie Cameron – “Talk about doing your best work in finals, he was sensational.”
3. Daniel Rioli – “His best game for Richmond.”
2. Dustin Martin – “Only 20 touches, but 14 score involvements. Senses the big moments.”
1. Rory Laird – “If he gets another 32 touches on the weekend, the Tigers are in trouble.”
