The Age’s Sam McClure is reporting British streaming giant DAZN is unhappy with the cost of the network’s massive AFL broadcast deal, which lasts until 2031.

And 3AW Breakfast sports reporter Jon Anderson thinks the story is “worrying for the AFL”.

The streaming giant and Foxtel’s owner reportedly thinks it’s over-paying for a product with limited subscription growth and reach overseas.

“The AFL have been really good at scoring great TV deals,” Anderson told Ross and Russ.
