The worrying figures behind current state of AFLW revealed

Concern is growing about the current state of the AFL Women’s competition, which is set to launch next month.

3AW Football’s Caroline Wilson has lifted the lid on a recent CEO presentation, in which the AFL revealed that AFLW is losing $50 million per season amid a concerning downturn in crowds and TV ratings.

“The issue I have is you can talk about these numbers and be concerned about the state of the league…but we haven’t heard these figures (before),” 3AW AFLW reporter Laura Spurway said on Wide World of Sports.
