‘There was some shockers’: Tony Shaw’s verdict on finals umpiring

Tony Shaw has taken aim at the umpiring standards of the elimination final between Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs.

A particular incident involving a dangerous tackle and Josh Rachele gesturing to his head has given Shaw cause for concern.

“There were some shockers; they have to look at dangerous tackless,” Shaw said on 3AW’s Instant Finals Reaction.

“We don’t want sling tackles, but there were shockers, and we have to call them out.”
