Tony Shaw isn’t buying the narrative around Geelong fans and their attendance at matches.

While Friday night’s clash between Carlton and Geelong was a Blues home game, both Richo and Shawry expected more than the 61,081 that turned up at the MCG.

“We hear this year in year out that they just don’t want to travel up the highway,” he said on 3AW Football.

“They can’t even fill Geelong, and they’ve built a new stadium.”
