‘They would be shattered’: Matthew Lloyd unpacks St Kilda’s opening round defeat

It was an opening round full of promise for the Saints, and despite having 20 more inside 50’s, they were defeated by 20 points against Collingwood at the MCG.

On 3AW Football, Matthew Lloyd unpacked St Kilda’s loss on Sunday night and thinks they “weren’t clean enough.”

“They would be shattered with this loss,”  Lloyd said on 3AW Football.

“They were their own worst enemy.”

Channel Nine reporter and 3AW personality, Tony Jones, also had some strong comments to make on the Saints after the loss.

“Near enough is not good enough … St Kilda supporters deserve better,” Jones said on 3AW Mornings.
