Things have gone from bad to worse at St Kilda, with three key Saints set for stints on the sidelines.

Star defender Jake Carlisle won’t play against Collingwood this week due to concussion.

Midfielder Blake Acres is also expected to miss a month of football due to groin soreness.

Sam Gilbert has undergone surgery to repair ligament damage in his right thumb.

He’ll miss six weeks.

To make matters worse, the Pies regain star skipper Scott Pendlebury this week.

Alex Fasolo and Tom Langdon have also come in for the Pies.

Darcy Moore (hamstring), Callum Brown, Ben Crocker (omitted) were the players to make way.

Bailey Rice will make his debut for the Saints on Saturday night, with Jack Sinclair and Jack Lonie also coming into their team.
