The proposed changes will ditch free parking on Sundays, and have parking meters in operation until 10pm instead of 8:30pm.
One and four-hour parking zones will also be scrapped, replaced by two-hour parking bays across the city.
The first 15 minutes in each park will be free.
Cr Capp told Neil Mitchell it’s about making parking “simpler”.
“This isn’t about a revenue grab at all, this is about making our parking system better for our traders and keep our city moving.”
