‘Timing was horrible’: Craig McRae criticised over best and fairest comments

Following Darcy Cameron’s first best and fairest win, Collingwood coach Craig McRae said that he wants the voting system re-assessed after star midfielder Nick Daicos finished second in the voting.

On The Trade Off podcast, Jimmy Bartel reacted to McRae’s voting system comments, saying the “timing was horrible”.

“You probably don’t say that out loud less than a week after Darcy Cameron won the best and fairest,” Bartel said.

“I would be disappointed if I was Darcy Cameron,” Matthew Lloyd added.
