AFL CEO Andrew Dillon is holding firm that a key rule change being slated for 2026 will improve the game.

Last touch out-of-bounds is expected to be implemented for next season, which will see a free kick paid between the 50m arcs against the team that takes possession last.

Tom Elliott raised his concerns about the change directly to Andrew Dillon on Thursday.

“We want to make sure we keep the unique parts of our game,” Dillon said on 3AW Mornings.

“It’s operated pretty successfully at the SANFL.”
