Tom Elliott slams the AFL for lack of consistency over conduct issues
Tom Elliott has criticised the AFL for trying to “moralise” on issues such as racism, when it allows players to take time off to avoid positive drug tests.
He says if the organisation wants to crack down on issues and moralise on what is right or wrong, they need to be consistent.
“Where does the AFL get off? … In the world of conduct, why is it terrible to say something homophobic, but okay to buy and consume illegal drugs?” he said.
