‘Totally outdated’: Sam McClure reacts to ‘disappointing’ Appeals Board statement

Sam McClure has reacted to the “disappointing” statement from the Appeals Board in the Lance Collard saga.

The AFL has slammed the Appeals Board today, after Collard’s suspension for a homophobic slur was downgraded from nine games to four, with two suspended.

“There are several key figures including the CEO Andrew Dillon that are seething at what the Appeals Board said in its statement,” McClure said on Wide World of Sports.

“It’s left a really bitter taste for so many.”

“It does feel so backwards right now,” Selwood added.
