Trent Cotchin clash with Dylan Shiel sure to attract MRP attention

Richmond captain Trent Cotchin faces an anxious wait after the Tigers advanced to the grand final.

He was involved in a first quarter collision with GWS star Dylan Shiel that left Shiel concussed.

He took no further part in the game.

“I think he should be fine, but you never know,” former MRP member Jimmy Bartel said on 3AW Football.

“It was more of a collision than a bump,” Leigh Matthews added.

Cotchin has already been fined twice this season, meaning even a financial sanction would trigger an automatic one-match ban.

“That is probably the worrying thing in the Richmond camp,” Bartel said.
