Jimmy Bartel had some strong comments to make on the state of the SCG surface after Friday night’s game between Sydney and the Western Bulldogs.

Bartel labelling the surface “unacceptable” and dangerous, with many players struggling to stay on their feet throughout the match.

“There’s no way you could tick that off,” Bartel said on 3AW Football.

“I genuinely got concerned … we just got lucky.”

SCG curator, Adam Lewis, then spoke out on 3AW and explained why the surface was in such poor position.
