‘Very disappointing’ Essendon in freefall after starting season 0-3

Archie Roberts has called Essendon’s loss to North Melbourne in round 3 disappointing as Essendon slides to 0-3, leaving them locked with Richmond as the only team to not win a game.

It comes as Essendon’s 16th loss in a row, just one off equalling the all-time club record for consecutive defeats.

“We just left it too late, there’s 20 rounds to go, but it’s very disappointing,” Roberts said on 3AW Football

“We’re playing quite safe down the line footy at times.

“We’re still growing, and we’re still trying to get our identity of ball movement.”
