The victim of the dramatic aggravated burglary in Black Rock last week, which made headlines, has given her thoughts on the bail law reforms announced by the state government today.

Adele put forward an emotional message towards Premier Jacinta Allan last week to do something about the state’s crime crisis, and Jacqui Felgate thought her comments finally tipped the government “over the edge”.

“It’s made it all worthwhile in what’s been a pretty tough week for us as a family,” Adele said on 3AW Drive.

The 3AW Drive host also had a strong reaction to today’s announcement, thanking the listeners and the community for speaking out about the level of crime in Victoria over the last 18 months.

“We are not just on the edge, we are well and truly over the edge,” she said.

“I hope that these laws work, I hope that they’re enacted quickly, and I very much hope that they have the desired effect.”
