Western Bulldogs chief with the latest on Marcus Bontempelli’s injury

Western Bulldogs chief Ameet Bains says the club is more confident about Marcus Bontempelli being fit to play in Saturday’s preliminary final than it was on Sunday.

The champion midfielder suffered a lower leg injury on Saturday night.

His scans have come back clear, but Bontempelli is still experiencing soreness.

“He is improving day by day,” Bains said.
