What Dan McStay is hoping Collingwood takes out of unique scratch match

New Collingwood leadership group member Dan McStay is relishing the chance to take on both Gold Coast and Brisbane in a unique scratch match on Thursday afternoon.

The Pies will take on both Gold Coast and Brisbane across several quarters in their first hit-out against any opposition in 2025.

Fresh off being added to Collingwood’s leadership group – which will again see Darcy Moore captain the group – McStay told Jimmy Bartel he was excited to move to the next phase of the pre-season.

“It’s going to be good to have a hitout in between training,” he said on Wide World of Sports.

“It’ll be good to build the game plan we’ve been working on all off-season and not bashing and crashing into each other.”
