What Essendon fans should expect from new mid-season recruits

Essendon football boss Dan McPherson says he’s hopeful some of the club’s recruits could make their AFL debuts in the coming weeks.
The Bombers are currently dealing with an injury crisis, leading to the club taking four players in Wednesday night’s mid-season rookie draft.
McPherson told Wide World of Sports the likes of Carlton VFL co-captain Liam McMahon and big-bodied forward Archer May could see senior action sooner rather than later.

“We think a couple of those (new recruits) can come in and play fairly quickly,” he said.
