What Jimmy Bartel and Matthew Lloyd thought of Hawthorn’s ‘gritty’ win over Sydney

Jimmy Bartel and Matthew Lloyd have both given their instant thoughts straight after the siren, as Hawthorn prevailed over Sydney by 20 points in the season opener.

Bartel thought the win was “gritty”, while Lloyd loved the “game-changing” move of James Sicily to the forward line.

“Hawthorn just had all of the answers,” Lloyd said.
