3AW Breakfast sports reporter Jon Anderson has weighed in on the Lachie Schultz concussion saga, and the controversy surrounding the umpires officiating last Thursday’s match.

The AFL released a statement saying play should’ve stopped when Schultz was concussed, and that the umpires didn’t know about the incident, but audio reveals they did know.

“Surely if someone goes down and you’re aware of it, you stop play straight away, surely!” Anderson said on 3AW Breakfast.

“Those umpires would have to be sanctioned.

“The AFL has to trust their employees to tell the truth.”
