What Matthew Lloyd made of Carlton president’s big update on Monday

Matthew Lloyd has backed Carlton’s decision to speed up Graham Wright’s arrival as CEO of the club.

Club president Robert Priestley held a snap press conference on Monday, confirming Wright would take over on August 15 – sooner than expected.

He also confirmed coach Michael Voss was safe until at least the end of the season, but stopped short of guaranteeing his future beyond that.

“The sooner Graham Wright gets started the better,” Lloyd said on 3AW Drive.

“The president has come out and said they want to make decisions and that’ll be at the end of the season.”
