What one club is ‘willing’ to give up for Jordan De Goey
North Melbourne is reportedly willing to cough up a first-round draft pick, plus a player, to pinch Jordan De Goey from Collingwood.
“That’s my understanding,” Sportsday newsbreaker Tom Morris said on Tuesday.
“He’d also be on potentially as much as $800,000 a year.”
However, Caroline Wilson said the emerging star would “go down” in her estimation if he walked out on the Pies.
“I reckon he owes them a two-year contract at the least and Collingwood shouldn’t have to match the money,” she said.
“They were two pretty big misdemeanours and he was dishonest about one last year, as well.
“I think we would be right to question his character if he walked out on the club now.
“He’s a great player.
“He should stay.”
