What one Melbourne great thinks of monster Kozzie Pickett contract extension

Melbourne great David Schwarz says he doesn’t have any reservations about Kysaiah Pickett’s monster contract extension.

The Dees livewire opted to turn his back on offers from his home state of Western Australia to sign a seven-year extension, tying him to the club until 2034.

Schwarz told Tom Elliott despite penning one of the longest contracts in footy, Pickett’s importance to the club meant the deal was worth it.

“If things don’t go right, it could cause issues,” he said on 3AW Mornings.

“But even now and then along comes a player you can invest him, and Kozzie is that (type of player). Everybody loves him and people want to go watch him.”
