What Sam McClure has implored the AFL to do after Oscar Allen’s season-ending injury

Sam McClure has called on the AFL to make free agency compensation “clear and public” after Oscar Allen’s season-ending patella tendon injury.
The Eagles captain is out of contract at the end of the year, and has been linked to Hawthorn and Brisbane, and McClure was strong in his view about free agency compensation.
“If the AFL are going to manipulate the system for whatever he gets paid at say Brisbane … if they’re (Lions) going to give them (Eagles) pick two, we need to know what he’s getting paid,” he said on 3AW Football.

“Clubs shouldn’t be bailed out by the AFL.
“The rest of the competition should know what he’s getting paid, so it’s fair and equal.”
