Tom Elliott has weighed in on the news of US President Joe Biden withdrawing from the presidential election, with Vice President Kamala Harris the “most likely” to take over the presidential nomination for the Democratic party.

Elliott predicted the news on Friday, with the president announcing the news earlier this morning.

“What does that mean?” the 3AW Mornings host asked.

Senior Fellow at the United States Studies Centre, Bruce Wolpe, then joined 3AW Mornings said the news is a “shock, but not a surprise”.

“She’s in the pole position, but we have four weeks for this thing to play out,” Mr Wolpe said on Kamala Harris.
