White knight gives Beth and her mum a night to remember

A white knight has come to the aid of an elderly woman and her daughter duped into buying tickets they thought were close to front row from a ticket resale site.

The story first emerged on 3AW Breakfast’s Rumour File on Wednesday.

Beth Simpson and her 85-year-old mother purchased tickets to Dream Lover the musical, but were shocked when they arrived in the mail to find they were actually to be seated right up the back.

But Beth told Ross and John this morning they got to see the show last night and it was a welcome night off after a difficult period for her family.

“It was fantastic, we got front row seats in the dress circle,” she said.

“When we got there mum said that’s where she would have wanted to sit.

“It was a chance for her to forget about everything else that’s been happening.”
