Matthew Lloyd has addressed Melbourne’s poor start to the season, losing their first four games, sitting 17th on the ladder in front of only the West Coast Eagles.

Lloyd is interested to see whether head coach Simon Goodwin will “make some statements” this week at the selection table, and highlighted one player who he thinks should be dropped.

“You can talk all you like in the off-season about how we’re going to love each other and we’re going to rebuild, but it’s not until you get out there under pressure in the heat of a game, you see truly whether that’s real or not,” Lloyd said on 3AW Drive.

“They’re not really playing for each other like they should.”
