Why Carlton’s best is ‘better than anyone else’ in the competition

Sam McClure is feeling good about his pre-season prediction on Carlton, saying only a playing group as talented as theirs could complete a comeback like the did against Brisbane on Friday night.

The Blues battled back from a 46-point deficit to post a shock one-point victory over Brisbane at the Gabba in Opening Round.

McClure, who said on 3AW in February that Carlton should be premiership favourites, still believes Carlton’s best form is better than any other side in the competition.

“Their best is better than anyone else’s (form in the competition),” he told Wide World of Sports.

“To be able to come from 50 points down, you need some special players and they have a number of them.”
