Why Darcy Moore’s brilliant speech didn’t shock Gillon McLachlan

Gillon McLachlan says he’s “incredibly proud” the AFL has a leader like Darcy Moore.

It comes after the new Collingwood captain won praise for a speech he made after the Anzac Day game at the MCG, a speech Neil Mitchell says “broke the stereotype” of a footballer.

Speaking on 3AW, McLachlan revealed an “impressive” performance at an AFL function earlier this year left him in little doubt about Moore’s leadership qualities.
