Leigh Matthews has weighed in on the unfolding drama at Melbourne involving Christian Petracca, admitting he finds the situation “unusual and complicated”.

It was reported last week that the star midfielder would request a trade away from the Demons, if he was out of contract at the end of the season.

“I’d be mortified if the situation didn’t get reconciled,” Matthews said.
