Why Leigh Matthews would like the umpiring to become stricter in the AFL

Leigh Matthews thinks the umpiring in the AFL is getting “lenient” and wants the officiating to become stricter.

Matthews didn’t target the umpires, but rather those higher up in the AFL ranks who can influence the officiating.

“I wonder what the AFL head office want it to be,” Matthews said.
