Why Sam McClure suspects Fremantle is up to something

Fremantle appears armed and ready to try and land a big fish before the end of the trade period, according to Sam McClure.

The Sportsday co-host said he suspects the Dockers are up to something.

They’re armed with picks six and eight in the draft, and may yet land another valuable pick in a deal that would see Rory Lobb leave the club.

Speaking on 3AW, McClure said that war chest, coupled with space in the salary cap, meant the Dockers could move to land a star midfielder from elsewhere.

“I think Fremantle are going after somebody else,” he said.
