Brownlow medallist Gerard Healy says it’s “beyond belief” the AFL continues to refuse the introduction of a red card.

The issue has come to a head again following Andrew Gaff’s ugly hit on Andrew Brayshaw that broke his jaw.

The league says it’s not keen to bring in a send-off rule.

Healy, who called for action more than a year ago, says the league has its “head in the sand”.
