Eddie McGuire’s idea to honour late AFL legend Ron Barassi permanently

Eddie McGuire has paid tribute to late AFL legend Ron Barassi, ahead of the memorial service held today at the MCG to honour an icon of the game.

McGuire stated how Barassi was an “inspiration” and a “force of life”, although he admitted Barassi did inflict a lot of pain on the Magpies!

“He was such a huge part of everyone’s life,” McGuire told Neil Mitchell.
