Former AFL player and umpire’s snap reaction to rule changes

Ahead of the 2026 season, the AFL have officially announced seven rule changes which is headlined by the last touch rule.

Former AFL star Scott Camporeale joined Wide World of Sports and reacted to the rule changes that have been made by the AFL.

“I think they’re all necessary,” Camporeale said.

Former AFL umpire Dean Margetts then joined the program and gave his perspective on the changes.

“It’ll make it a bit easier to umpire,” Margetts said.
