‘It’s not the end’: Brendon Gale speaks out as future of Tassie AFL team remains clouded

Tasmania Devils CEO Brendon Gale has stated “it’s not the end of the stadium” and subsequently the team if current Premier Jeremy Rockliff is ousted from the top job.
A vote of no-confidence is being filed against Rockliff, who is a big supporter of the stadium, with the future of the club in jeopardy if there’s a change in government.
“The challenge for the stadium and by extension the team is if there’s an election, that pushes out timelines,” Gale told Tom Elliott on 3AW Mornings.

“I think the average Tasmanian almost without exception is really supportive of the team.
“There would be some work to go to an election, there would be some nervousness from the AFL I would think.
“This is a state that has been denied for 150 years, it’s been told it’s not good enough.”
