Matthew Lloyd’s advice for Alex Rance amid more diving criticism

Matthew Lloyd has a word of advice for Alex Rance.

Rance has come in for criticism after being fined for staging in Round 11, and then appearing to exaggerate contact again on Friday night.

Lloyd said he knows full well that a reputation for diving doesn’t go away.

“I was bad for a year or two, but it lived with me for six or seven years,” he said.

“You just don’t lose it.

“I would love for Rance to pull back, because it’s taking away from what a great footballer he is.”

Lloydy said the incident in the contest with Charlie Dixon wasn’t a dive.

He also defended his decision to give Rance a vote, the only Tiger in his votes on Friday night.

“If he didn’t play, they would have lost by an extra five goals,” he said.
