Northland goes in lockdown after stolen vehicle drives through shopping centre

Northland went into lockdown after a white Landcruiser drove through the shopping centre on Wednesday afternoon.
Victoria Police confirmed the stolen car attempted to evade police by driving through the centre, with no reported injuries.
Tanya was locked down in the Kmart shortly after 4pm and told 3AW Drive up to 70 people were barricaded into the store as the chaos was unfolding.

“It sounded like gunshots, but it was a car,” she said.
“Some girls (in the store) saw it and they put the gates down straight away.”
