Richmond last night appointed Adem Yze as their new head coach, beating out interim coach Andrew McQualter for the job.

Yze has been an assistant coach under the likes of Alastair Clarkson at Hawthorn and more recently Simon Goodwin at Melbourne, but has now become a head coach for the first time.

Matthew Lloyd was particularly interested in one aspect of Richmond’s appointment, with Leigh Matthews also chiming in on Lloydy’s point.
