Jacqui Felgate thinks Melbourne is going to be a “global embarrassment” on Australia Day, due to the planned protests on the final day of the Australian Open.

The 3AW Drive has slammed the “feral group of protesters” and is sick to death at the lack of of a protest permit system in Victoria.

“It is time for the minority to stop shaming the majority,” she said.

State opposition leader Brad Battin then weighed in on the situation, stating he would reintroduce move-on laws if he was Premier.

“My greatest fear with these protesters is in the minority is another minority, and they’re the ones who are coming in to cause havoc and violence,” Battin said on 3AW Drive.
