Essendon has made the decision to sack head coach Brad Scott this morning.

Award-winning AFL journalist and broadcaster, Sam McClure, unpacked the big news on 3AW Breakfast earlier.

“This is another very messy situation for the Essendon Football Club,” McClure said.

Veteran sports commentator, Tim Lane, questioned the timing of the decision, giving Neale Daniher’s passing yesterday.

“The timing is excruciatingly bad,” Lane said on 3AW Mornings.
